Driven by Nordic roots,
powering African futures
We combine Scandinavian engineering precision with local partnerships to deliver reliable, low‑carbon electricity where it matters most.
Founded in Gothenburg, Sweden, Jamtvind began as a community‑owned wind developer harnessing the harsh Nordic climate for clean power. After scaling to 620 MW of operating assets, we set our sights on high‑growth regions where reliable electricity is critical for industrial development.
Today, Jamtvind South is our dedicated platform for Southern Africa, focused on industrial power purchase agreements (PPAs) that blend wind, solar and storage into one firm product. We work hand‑in‑hand with local utilities, EPC contractors and host communities to build projects that create jobs and cut emissions.
Accelerate Africa’s industrial decarbonisation by delivering firm, affordable renewable power directly to end‑users.
1 GW of hybrid renewables in operation and 1 Mt CO₂e avoided annually by 2030.
We keep our promises – from construction deadlines to tariff transparency.
Local partnerships drive every project stage, from EIA to O&M.
Hybrid design, digital twins and AI‑driven dispatch optimise every kWh.
Beyond carbon: biodiversity offsets, water stewardship and community funds.
